Quinceañera

I've always thought it would be fun to go to a quinceañera. Unfortunately, the closest I have come so far is printing these invitations. Aimee's uncle designed these for her. Have fun at the party Aimee!

Hsu

Lately, I've been busy printing some new business cards + an announcement card for Michael Hsu Office of Architecture. Jett Butler at Föda Studio did a wonderful job with the design, capitalizing on the glory of simple + clean.

Knock Knock Jewelry Gift Cards

I recently printed these jewelry gift cards for Aimée over at Knock Knock Studio. I'm really in love with the "to" & "from" typeface that Social Ink used in the design + check out the super cool brass earrings Aimée made...I'm wearing them today!

Thank You for Not Smoking

This card will be up in my Etsy shop soon. I just finished cleaning the press...(not my favorite part to be honest) Anyway, I'm working on adding a couple of new things in the next few weeks, so please check back.

Savoy

I finished a quick print job today and was reminded of how in love I am with the Reich Savoy paper stock! It is so soft and makes the most perfect impressions. Good thing I have a huge stack of it here to keep printing on! (Above is a detail of some notecards
ISES of Austin had me print for them --> sorry not the best picture)

Sugar

Check out these cards I designed and printed for a great photographer here in town. Destry Jaimes of DFJ Photo is super talented and has an excellent eye for color. In fact, he took this very picture... much better than my usual "close-crop-on-a-random-detail" images. Thanks Destry!

Hopefully someday I can stop procrastinating...

Mmmmm, Pie

My favorite pie is blueberry, which I ate this past weekend for the first time in years! So amazing...homemade with fresh berries... Anyway, a few days later my fabulous jewelry making friend Leah asked me to print the wedding invitations she designed for her sister. They are doing things right and only serving PIE for dessert! Please check out her work here & here.

Love

I'm feeling a lot of love this week, so I thought I would pull this card out the stacks and put it up on Etsy. I was thinking of saving it for Valentine's, but people need a little (or A LOT of) love every day, right?

Totally Off Topic

I ran across this little guy last night and couldn't resist posting it up here. I LOVE random street art, but never have my camera with me. Thankfully that was not the case yesterday!

Finally! I have some things in my Etsy shop. Please take a look, heart my shop, and come back again :) There will be new things showing up all the time.

Knock Knock

Business cards printed for the super creative Aimée at Knock Knock Studio. Check out her awesome handmade jewelry; you won't be disappointed! I'm expecting some earrings in the mail myself...

Finishing Touch

Sometimes all you need is a little blind emboss to set everything off...

Down Under

Some lovely business cards, designed by UnderConsideration, printed by me. The ink is this beautiful deep plum color, but unfortunately I couldn't get that to come through well in the photo...

Yes!

I'm really happy to say that my new "official" website is up and running. Big thank you to Zach at Small Block Media for doing all the coding and keeping a close eye on the details. Now I need to get some stuff up in my Etsy shop...

Here is the printed invitation for the ISES Austin Gala this year. Folded A7 invite inside a pocket enclosure + envelope. A lot of hours on the press this week. All done!

Eating Peas

Usually, I am all for eating dessert before dinner, but when it comes to printing...envelopes before invites.

Design minus Letterpress

This is a fun project I just finished for a couple who moved out to California. I found a vintage picture of the beach they now live close to, got a bunch of post cards printed, and then put a wrap around sticker on them to act as a banner being flown over the beach by an old school plane. It feels good to have an idea, then actually get to make it happen.

Coming Soon

1. A new/real Studio SloMo website will (cross your fingers) be up by the end of the month!
2. My etsy shop (chocked full of lovely letterpressy things) will also be making a debut in the near future.
3. Color is important and has been on my mind.

Registration

Lately, I've been really drawn to the beautiful, unexpected images that registration creates...

Ink

I realize the ink is scarily close to my computer, but these days it is all about cheap thrills. Back on the press after a little hiatus...feeling good.

Quince

Spring is a little crazy. So many things happening, and all I feel like doing is cleaning and organizing. I've been rearranging the studio a little bit this past week... need a fresh start for the new season. Above are some little tags that I printed recently + a lovely quince blossom left over from wedding work.

Thank You

Thank you for taking the time to look through my blog! I printed these Thank You cards a few weeks ago on my last reserves of Crane's Lettra. Time to try out some new papers :)

A little less pink please.

Scripty

Check out that Z! This is one of my favorite details from the invitations I printed last week. A very lovely bride came to me with design in hand and asked me for some letterpressing... Thank you C.E.R. :)

Polymer

Very busy printing this week. I thought I would post a picture of the process today instead of the final product. Here is a piece of the photopolymer plate I used to print more Rosehip Flora business cards. It is all inked up and ready to go...

Madrone

I had the pleasure of printing this identity set designed by Melissa over at Foda Studio for Madrone LDC. The paper was handmade with native texas seeds that will sprout when planted. Perfect concept for landscape design. Pictured above: business card, announcement, folded Thank You card.

Hearts

Here is a valentine card I designed and printed this past week. I'm not a huge fan of the holiday, but who can say no to yummy chocolates in a cheesy red box?

Bookmarks

I had a little awkward sliver of space left on one of my printing plates, and since I hate to see anything usable go to waste...
