Quinceañera

I've always thought it would be fun to go to a quinceañera. Unfortunately, the closest I have come so far is printing these invitations. Aimee's uncle designed these for her. Have fun at the party Aimee!

Lately, I've been busy printing some new business cards + an announcement card for Michael Hsu Office of Architecture. Jett Butler at Föda Studio did a wonderful job with the design, capitalizing on the glory of simple + clean.

Knock Knock Jewelry Gift Cards

I recently printed these jewelry gift cards for Aimée over at Knock Knock Studio. I'm really in love with the "to" & "from" typeface that Social Ink used in the design + check out the super cool brass earrings Aimée made...I'm wearing them today!

Thank You for Not Smoking

This card will be up in my Etsy shop soon. I just finished cleaning the press...(not my favorite part to be honest) Anyway, I'm working on adding a couple of new things in the next few weeks, so please check back.

Savoy

I finished a quick print job today and was reminded of how in love I am with the Reich Savoy paper stock! It is so soft and makes the most perfect impressions. Good thing I have a huge stack of it here to keep printing on! (Above is a detail of some notecards ISES of Austin had me print for them --> sorry not the best picture)

Check out these cards I designed and printed for a great photographer here in town. Destry Jaimes of DFJ Photo is super talented and has an excellent eye for color. In fact, he took this very picture... much better than my usual "close-crop-on-a-random-detail" images. Thanks Destry!

Mmmmm, Pie

My favorite pie is blueberry, which I ate this past weekend for the first time in years! So amazing...homemade with fresh berries... Anyway, a few days later my fabulous jewelry making friend Leah asked me to print the wedding invitations she designed for her sister. They are doing things right and only serving PIE for dessert! Love

I'm feeling a lot of love this week, so I thought I would pull this card out the stacks and put it up on Etsy. I was thinking of saving it for Valentine's, but people need a little (or A LOT of) love every day, right?

Here is the printed invitation for the ISES Austin Gala this year. Folded A7 invite inside a pocket enclosure + envelope. A lot of hours on the press this week. All done!

Design minus Letterpress

This is a fun project I just finished for a couple who moved out to California. I found a vintage picture of the beach they now live close to, got a bunch of post cards printed, and then put a wrap around sticker on them to act as a banner being flown over the beach by an old school plane. It feels good to have an idea, then actually get to make it happen.

Ink

I realize the ink is scarily close to my computer, but these days it is all about cheap thrills. Back on the press after a little hiatus...feeling good.

Quince

Spring is a little crazy. So many things happening, and all I feel like doing is cleaning and organizing. I've been rearranging the studio a little bit this past week... need a fresh start for the new season. Above are some little tags that I printed recently + a lovely quince blossom left over from wedding work.

I had the pleasure of printing this identity set designed by Melissa over at Foda Studio for Madrone LDC. The paper was handmade with native texas seeds that will sprout when planted. Perfect concept for landscape design. Pictured above: business card, announcement, folded Thank You card.
